Single Sign-On (SSO)

What is SSO and How to Use It?

SSO allows users to log in to TestDome using their company’s authentication provider, such as Google, Microsoft, Okta, or any other supported identity service. This means:

  • Faster and Safer Login: users authenticate through your organization's secure system, reducing the risk of weak or reused passwords, as well as minimizing phishing risks and unauthorized access.

  • Simplified User Management: administrators can manage employee access centrally, making onboarding and offboarding seamless.

  • Better Compliance: organizations can enforce security policies such as multi-factor authentication (MFA) and password rotation through their identity provider.

How to Enable SSO

Owners (read about roles) can set up SSO through the Settings > Account Settings page. Once in that page, look for the "Single Sign-On (SSO)" section and select the "Connect" button:

You will see an overlay on the bottom-right, please fill out the details (you may need IT assistance), and submit it. The support team will pick up your request and inform you once SSO is enabled.

At that point, users in your organization will log in through your company's identity provider instead of using a separate email and password for TestDome.

Important Considerations

  • Plan Requirement: SSO is only available for customers on the Medium plan or larger (view pricing).

  • User Authentication:

    • Once SSO is enabled, existing users (except for account owners) will no longer be able to manage their own email and password.

    • The owner will manage everyone's email address, and passwords will not be needed anymore.

    • If the SSO is down, users can still authenticate via the "magic link" flow.
