Inviting Candidates to a Test

Modified on Mon, 4 Dec, 2023 at 6:00 PM

Can candidates go back to a previous question?

Unfortunately no. When we started designing our first tests we realised that measuring time per question and giving candidates flexibility to choose which questions they attempt first don't go hand in hand. Both options have their own pros and cons, but in the end, we decided that controlling how much time candidates spend per question is more important than giving them flexibility to choose the order in which they solve the questions. For example, certain types of questions can be brute-forced if you have enough time and we wanted to prevent that.

What happens if a candidate doesn’t take the test?

If a candidate does not take the test their invite will be automatically refunded to you within 24 hours.

Candidate did not take the test, but the invite has not been refunded

If you check the billing history on your account (under payment settings), you will see that their invite has been automatically credited back when the test deadline expired. This refund happens as part of the automated daily maintenance so what probably happened is that you checked your account after the test deadline expired but before the automatic refund was triggered.

Can I re-invite a candidate to the same test?

Yes. Re-invites to the same test are free as long as the same email address is used for that candidate.

Can candidates see answers to the questions after the test has finished?

No, candidates taking the test cannot see the answers.

What happens when the time for a question expires?

When the time runs out, the candidate’s last selected answer will be automatically submitted.
